Drug intelligence / Profile preview
recombinant RSV vaccine (CHO cell) is a recombinant protein subunit vaccine being developed by Yikang Biotech (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. in collaboration with Jiangsu Recbio Technology Co., Ltd. (Recbio). The vaccine consists of a recombinant respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) fusion (F) glycoprotein stabilized in its prefusion conformation (PreF), expressed using a Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell system. It is developed in two formulations: a basic formulation and an adjuvanted formulation utilizing Recbio's proprietary novel adjuvant system. The vaccine is designed to prevent lower respiratory tract diseases (LRTD) caused by RSV infection in adults, particularly those aged 50 years and older. It is currently in Phase I clinical development in China.
