Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Relacorilant + nab-paclitaxel is a combination therapy under investigation for the treatment of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer and other solid tumors. Relacorilant is a selective glucocorticoid receptor antagonist that inhibits glucocorticoid receptor (GR) signaling, which can mediate resistance to chemotherapy. Nab-paclitaxel (nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel, marketed as Abraxane) is a microtubule inhibitor used in various cancers. The combination aims to enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy by blocking GR-mediated resistance pathways, thereby improving progression-free survival and overall survival compared to nab-paclitaxel alone. Corcept Therapeutics developed relacorilant and sponsors clinical trials evaluating this regimen[1][3][5][6][7].
