Overview

Relatlimab + ipilimumab is a dual immune checkpoint inhibitor combination comprising the monoclonal antibodies relatlimab and ipilimumab. Relatlimab is a human monoclonal antibody targeting lymphocyte-activation gene 3 (LAG-3), blocking its interaction with MHC II to reduce LAG-3–mediated T cell inhibition and promote T cell activity. Ipilimumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4), blocking its inhibitory signal and leading to increased immune activation. The combination is being explored in clinical research as an immunotherapy regimen for advanced-stage malignancies, particularly melanoma, aiming to enhance antitumor immune responses by concurrently blocking two distinct immune checkpoints.
