Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Remifentanil + ciprofol is a combination of two intravenous anesthetic agents used for sedation and anesthesia. Ciprofol is a novel 2,6-disubstituted phenol derivative that acts as a GABA-A receptor agonist, similar to propofol but with improved pharmacological properties. Remifentanil is an ultra-short-acting synthetic opioid analgesic. This combination provides effective sedation with more stable hemodynamics, less respiratory depression, and fewer adverse events compared to propofol-remifentanil combinations. The ciprofol-remifentanil combination has shown particular benefits in procedures such as bronchoscopy, gastrointestinal endoscopy, and general anesthesia, with reduced incidence of hypotension, hypoxemia, and injection pain.
