Repevax and Revaxis are booster vaccines developed by Sanofi Pasteur, designed to maintain protective immunity against several life-threatening bacterial and viral infections. Repevax is a quadrivalent vaccine (dTaP-IPV) containing reduced doses of diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, acellular pertussis antigens, and inactivated poliovirus; it is typically administered as a booster to children and adolescents. Revaxis is a trivalent vaccine (Td-IPV) containing reduced doses of diphtheria and tetanus toxoids along with inactivated poliovirus, but notably lacks the pertussis component; it is used for booster immunization in older children, adolescents, and adults. Both vaccines utilize reduced antigen content compared to primary series vaccines, making them suitable for booster doses to maintain long-term immunity. They contain toxoids and inactivated viruses adsorbed onto aluminum salts to enhance the immune response.
