Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RSVpreF (Abrysvo) is a nonadjuvanted, bivalent recombinant protein subunit vaccine developed by Pfizer for the prevention of lower respiratory tract disease (LRTD) caused by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). The vaccine consists of equal amounts of stabilized prefusion F (preF) antigens from the two major RSV subgroups, RSV-A and RSV-B. It is approved for active immunization of individuals 60 years of age and older, adults aged 18 to 59 years who are at increased risk for RSV-associated LRTD, and pregnant individuals at 32 through 36 weeks of gestation to provide passive protection to infants from birth through 6 months of age.
