Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Resveratrol + myoinositol** is an oral nutraceutical combination studied as a co-administered therapy for polycystic ovary syndrome. Resveratrol is a stilbene polyphenol reported to activate sirtuin 1 and modulate metabolic, inflammatory, and endocrine pathways, while myoinositol is an insulin-sensitizing carbocyclic sugar involved in intracellular phosphatidylinositol signaling. In the completed randomized Phase 2 trial NCT04867252, twice-daily resveratrol 1000 mg plus myoinositol 1000 mg was evaluated in obese women with oligo-anovulatory polycystic ovary syndrome and was associated with improvements in menstrual regularity, endocrine measures including testosterone, adiponectin, anthropometric measures, and perceived stress. The combination is a research and nutraceutical regimen rather than a confirmed proprietary pharmaceutical product.
