Overview

Resveratrol + quercetin + curcumin is a combination of three natural polyphenolic compounds—resveratrol, quercetin, and curcumin—each derived from medicinal plants and widely studied for their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer properties. This combination has been investigated as a dietary supplement and experimental antitumor compound (sometimes referred to as "RCQ") for its potential synergistic effects in cancer therapy, bone metabolism disorders (such as osteoporosis), periodontitis, neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, aging-related conditions, and inflammation. Mechanistically, the combination acts through multiple pathways including inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), suppression of the NF-κB pathway leading to reduced proinflammatory cytokine production and immune cell proliferation/migration in the tumor microenvironment. The combined use enhances bioavailability compared to single agents alone[1][3][4][6].
