rhEGF + sodium hyaluronate

A combination ophthalmic formulation containing recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF) and sodium hyaluronate. This combination is primarily used as eye drops for the treatment of dry eye syndrome (xerophthalmia), particularly after cataract surgery. Sodium hyaluronate acts as a lubricant and moisture-retaining agent on the ocular surface, forming a protective film that enhances tear film stability and promotes corneal healing. Recombinant human EGF stimulates epithelial cell proliferation, accelerates corneal repair, improves microcirculation in the eye, and reduces inflammation by lowering levels of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF-α.
