rhGM-CSF + hydrogel

rhGM-CSF + hydrogel (also known as RNX-011) is a topical therapeutic candidate developed by Reponex Pharmaceuticals A/S for the treatment of chronic wounds, specifically venous leg ulcers. The formulation consists of recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (rhGM-CSF), or molgramostim, incorporated into a hydrogel base. Molgramostim acts as a potent growth factor that stimulates the local immune response, promotes the proliferation of keratinocytes and fibroblasts, and induces angiogenesis, all of which are critical for the closure of hard-to-heal ulcers. The hydrogel delivery system maintains a moist wound environment and facilitates the sustained presence of the cytokine at the injury site. The therapy is currently in Phase II clinical development (Trial NCT04823962).
