Overview

This is a combination of **rifampin** and **IMP4297 (senaparib)**. Rifampin is a well-established antibiotic of the rifamycin class, commonly used to treat tuberculosis and other bacterial infections, and is a potent inducer of the enzyme CYP3A4. IMP4297 (senaparib) is a small-molecule inhibitor of the enzymes poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) 1 and 2, developed as a targeted anticancer therapeutic. Senaparib inhibits DNA repair in tumor cells, leading to increased DNA damage and cell death, particularly in cancers with DNA repair deficiencies. Combination of rifampin and IMP4297 is mainly studied to evaluate the pharmacokinetic drug-drug interaction between the CYP3A4 inducer rifampin and the PARP inhibitor senaparib, to understand effects on senaparib metabolism and exposure, rather than as a therapeutic regimen for cancer or infection[1][7].
