Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TSI-GSD 200 is an inactivated, lyophilized (dried) vaccine candidate developed by the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) for the prevention of Rift Valley Fever (RVF). The vaccine is derived from the Entebbe 52 strain of the Rift Valley Fever virus (RVFV), which is inactivated using formalin. It is primarily intended for the protection of at-risk individuals, including laboratory personnel, veterinarians, and military members who may be exposed to the virus in endemic regions or research settings. Clinical studies have focused on its safety, immunogenicity, and the necessity of booster doses to maintain protective antibody titers, as the vaccine has historically been administered under Investigational New Drug (IND) protocols for occupational protection.
