rilvegostomig + trastuzumab

Rilvegostomig + trastuzumab is an investigational combination therapy comprised of rilvegostomig, a bispecific monoclonal antibody that targets both programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and TIGIT, and trastuzumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting the HER2 receptor. Rilvegostomig enhances anti-tumor immunity by blocking inhibitory checkpoints (PD-1 and TIGIT) used by cancer cells to evade the immune system, while trastuzumab inhibits HER2-driven cell proliferation and mediates antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity against HER2-positive cancer cells. The combination is being evaluated for the first-line treatment of HER2-positive, PD-L1+ (CPS ≥1) locally advanced or metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) adenocarcinoma, as part of a global phase 3 trial.
