Overview
**Rispoval RS + PI3** is a Zoetis veterinary **live attenuated viral vaccine** for cattle, formulated for **intranasal** administration as a lyophilized powder and solvent for nasal suspension. It contains live attenuated **bovine respiratory syncytial virus** strain 375 and live attenuated **bovine parainfluenza virus type 3** strain RLB103, and is used for active immunization of calves from 9 days of age to reduce viral shedding and protect against bovine respiratory disease caused by these respiratory pathogens. The vaccine is designed to induce a rapid local and systemic immune response, with onset of protection reported at 5 days for BRSV and 10 days for PI3V, and duration of immunity of 12 weeks after a single dose; it can be used in calves with or without maternally derived antibodies.
