Overview
RIV + rC19 (dose 4) is an investigational combination vaccine being developed by Sanofi in collaboration with Novavax. It represents the highest recombinant Spike (rS) antigen dose level of the adjuvanted recombinant COVID-19 vaccine (rC19) combined with a recombinant influenza vaccine (RIV) in a single formulation. The vaccine is a recombinant protein subunit biologic consisting of trivalent recombinant influenza hemagglutinin antigens (Flublok) and a recombinant SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein (NVXC19) adjuvanted with Matrix-M. It is being evaluated in the Phase 1/2 clinical trial VBT00002 (NCT06695130) to assess its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity against both seasonal influenza and COVID-19 in adults aged 50 years and older.
