Overview

**RP2 + atezolizumab + bevacizumab** is a pharmaceutical combination consisting of three drugs: RP2 (an oncolytic herpes simplex virus therapy engineered to express anti-CTLA-4 antibody), atezolizumab (a monoclonal antibody targeting PD-L1), and bevacizumab (a monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A). RP2 acts as an oncolytic immunotherapy, promoting anti-tumor immune responses through direct tumor cell lysis and local immune modulation. Atezolizumab is an immune checkpoint inhibitor that blocks PD-L1, preventing T-cell inactivation and promoting anti-tumor immunity. Bevacizumab inhibits angiogenesis by binding VEGF-A, preventing blood vessel formation that supports tumor growth. This combination is being investigated primarily in solid tumors, and clinical trials are ongoing, primarily targeting hepatocellular carcinoma and other advanced malignancies.
