Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RRx-001 + platinum-based doublet therapy is an investigational combination regimen consisting of **RRx-001**, a small molecule Myc inhibitor and immunomodulatory agent, with a **platinum-based doublet chemotherapy** (commonly cisplatin or carboplatin plus another agent such as etoposide). RRx-001 is designed to sensitize tumors to platinum-based chemotherapy by downregulating Myc and CD47 expression and modulating the tumor immune microenvironment, potentially restoring or increasing tumor sensitivity to platinum-based regimens even after prior resistance. This combination is being studied particularly in small cell lung cancer and non-small cell lung cancer as a means to improve the effectiveness of re-challenge platinum therapy after initial treatment failure[1][3][5].
