Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RSLV-132 + tenecteplase is an investigational combination therapy being developed by Resolve Therapeutics for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke (AIS). The combination pairs RSLV-132, a recombinant RNase-Fc fusion protein consisting of catalytically active human ribonuclease 1 linked to an engineered human IgG1 Fc domain, with tenecteplase, a recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) that acts as a thrombolytic agent. RSLV-132 is designed to degrade extracellular RNA, which acts as a pro-inflammatory mediator and is implicated in reperfusion injury and neutrophil extracellular trap (NET) formation during stroke. Tenecteplase functions by dissolving blood clots. In preclinical models of photothrombotic stroke, the co-administration of RSLV-132 and tenecteplase significantly reduced infarct volume, improved cerebral perfusion, and preserved motor function compared to vehicle or tenecteplase alone.
