Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RST-001 is a late-preclinical stage senolytic therapeutic being developed by Rejuveron Senescence Therapeutics (RejuverSen), a portfolio company of Centenara Labs. The drug is designed to selectively eliminate senescent cells within the tumor microenvironment, specifically targeting breast cancer as its primary indication. By removing these cells, RST-001 aims to address chemotherapy resistance and enhance the immune system's ability to clear tumor cells. The program was co-founded by Professor Manuel Serrano, a pioneer in senescence research, and is based on foundational studies published in Nature Cancer. RST-001 represents a novel approach to cancer treatment by targeting the mechanisms through which senescent tumor cells evade the immune system and contribute to disease progression.
