Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination vaccine product consisting of the RSVPreF3 vaccine (based on the recombinant prefusion F protein of respiratory syncytial virus, stabilized in its pre-fusion conformation) together with a quadrivalent influenza vaccine. RSVPreF3 is primarily composed of the recombinant RSV prefusion F protein, used with the AS01E adjuvant (containing QS-21 and monophosphoryl lipid A), and is designed to elicit protective immunity against RSV. The quadrivalent influenza vaccine contains inactivated antigens from four distinct influenza strains, providing broad influenza coverage. Coadministration of these vaccines is shown to be immunogenic, safe, and generally well tolerated in older adults[3][5]. The primary indication is prevention of lower respiratory tract disease caused by RSV and seasonal influenza, especially in adults aged 60 years and older[3][5].
