Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RuVaCare(V) is an inactivated virus vaccine candidate developed by Theralase for the prevention of COVID-19. The vaccine is produced using a proprietary photodynamic inactivation technology. In this process, a photodynamic compound (PDC) is utilized to inactivate the SARS-CoV-2 virus, rendering it unable to replicate while preserving its structural integrity and essential antigenic properties. This inactivated virus is intended to elicit a protective immune response against SARS-CoV-2. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
