S-1 + amrubicin is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of S-1 (an oral fluoropyrimidine) and amrubicin (a totally synthetic 9-aminoanthracycline). Amrubicin is an anthracycline anticancer agent that has shown activity against non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). In clinical trials, amrubicin has been studied in combination with platinum agents like cisplatin, showing promising efficacy and manageable toxicity profiles.
