Overview
S-amlodipine + azilsartan (HUC2-565) is a fixed-dose combination of two antihypertensive agents developed by Huons. It combines S-amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker (specifically an L-type calcium channel blocker), and azilsartan, an angiotensin II receptor type 1 (AT1R) antagonist. The drug is being investigated for the treatment of hypertension. Its mechanism involves dual blockade of the renin–angiotensin system and voltage-gated L-type calcium channels to achieve blood pressure reduction[1][2]. As of May 2025, it has reached Phase 1 clinical trials in South Korea.
