Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This combination is a topical dermatological formulation primarily used for the treatment of acne vulgaris and the management of oily, blemish-prone skin. Salicylic acid, a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA), acts as a keratolytic agent by penetrating sebum-filled pores to exfoliate dead skin cells and reduce comedone formation. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) provides anti-inflammatory benefits, improves skin barrier function, and reduces post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Zinc PCA (Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid) serves as a sebum-regulating agent and possesses antimicrobial properties against *Cutibacterium acnes*. Hyaluronic acid is included as a humectant to counteract the potential drying effects of the active exfoliants, maintaining skin hydration and reducing irritation.
