Danfen Glucose Infusion is a Chinese patent medicine preparation consisting of salvianolate—a standardized water-soluble polyphenol extract derived from the root of *Salvia miltiorrhiza* (Danshen)—formulated in a glucose solution. The primary active constituent is salvianolic acid B, which exhibits potent cardioprotective, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, including stable and unstable angina pectoris, coronary heart disease, and acute myocardial infarction. The drug's mechanism of action involves the inhibition of platelet aggregation, promotion of fibrinolysis, and induction of vasodilation by enhancing the release of nitric oxide (NO) and modulating calcium signaling in vascular smooth muscle cells. Additionally, it protects the vascular endothelium from oxidative damage by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS).
