Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SXHYXN + ZLHXTY is a combination therapy consisting of two Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulations: Sanqi Huayu Xingnao (SXHYXN) and Zhilong Huoxue Tongyu (ZLHXTY). Developed by the Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine affiliated to Southwest Medical University, this combination is primarily used for the treatment of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (HICH). SXHYXN is typically administered as an injection containing extracts from *Panax notoginseng* (Sanqi), which provides neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory effects while promoting the resolution of blood stasis. ZLHXTY is formulated as a capsule containing animal-derived components such as *Hirudo* (leech) and *Lumbricus* (earthworm), which contain hirudin and other enzymes that act as potent thrombin inhibitors. Together, these formulations aim to accelerate hematoma absorption, reduce peri-hematomal edema, and improve neurological recovery in patients following a cerebral hemorrhage.
