Overview

Sargramostim + naxitamab is a combination therapy used for the treatment of relapsed or refractory high-risk neuroblastoma in the bone or bone marrow in pediatric patients (1 year and older) and adults. Naxitamab is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets GD2, an oncofetal differentiation antigen highly expressed on neuroblastoma cells. Sargramostim (granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor, GM-CSF) is a cytokine that stimulates proliferation, differentiation, and functional activity of neutrophils, eosinophils, monocytes/macrophages. The combination enhances anti-tumor immune responses by both directly targeting tumor cells via antibody-dependent mechanisms (naxitamab) and stimulating myeloid cell activity (sargramostim). Naxitamab was developed at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and is marketed as Danyelza by Y-mAbs Therapeutics[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8].
