Savolitinib + fluvoxamine is a combination of two small molecule drugs, mainly investigated for their potential pharmacokinetic interaction. Savolitinib is a selective inhibitor of the mesenchymal-epithelial transition factor (MET) tyrosine kinase receptor, developed for the treatment of cancers with MET dysregulation, such as non-small cell lung cancer. Fluvoxamine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) primarily used for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and depression. In clinical studies, the co-administration aims to characterize changes in savolitinib pharmacokinetics caused by fluvoxamine, which is a strong inhibitor of cytochrome P450 (notably CYP1A2 and CYP3A4), potentially altering savolitinib metabolism[2]. There is no data supporting use of this combination as a marketed therapeutic. The focus is on evaluating drug–drug interaction and safety in healthy volunteers.
