Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SCLife-LDD is a cell-based regenerative therapy developed by Sclnow Biotechnology Co., Ltd. for the treatment of lumbar disc degeneration. The therapy consists of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs) that are administered via direct intradiscal injection, typically following endoscopic nucleus pulposus extraction. The mechanism of action involves the regeneration of the nucleus pulposus tissue, restoration of disc structure and pressure, and immune modulation to reduce inflammation. By replacing lost disc material and promoting tissue repair, SCLife-LDD aims to alleviate chronic low back pain and prevent the recurrence of disc herniation.
