A combination of scopolamine (an anticholinergic agent) and thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH, a tripeptide neuromodulator) used primarily in research settings to study cognitive function and cholinergic system interactions. In young subjects, TRH has been shown to attenuate scopolamine-induced memory impairment, while in older subjects and Alzheimer's patients, the interaction produces different effects. Scopolamine appears to attenuate the pressor (blood pressure raising) effect of TRH.
