Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SCT200 + docetaxel is a combination therapy consisting of SCT200, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), and docetaxel, a semi-synthetic member of the taxoid class that promotes and stabilizes microtubule assembly, thereby inhibiting cell division. SCT200 inhibits EGFR-mediated signaling pathways involved in tumor growth and survival, while docetaxel disrupts microtubular networks in cells, preventing mitosis. This combination is being investigated for the treatment of recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) in patients who have previously failed platinum-based chemotherapy and programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) inhibitor therapy[1][2][3].
