Overview

SCT510 + paclitaxel + carboplatin is a combination regimen comprising three agents: - SCT510, which is an experimental biosimilar of bevacizumab, - paclitaxel, a microtubule inhibitor, and - carboplatin, a platinum-based alkylating agent. The combination aims to leverage multiple mechanisms of action against cancer. Bevacizumab (the reference drug for SCT510) is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), thereby suppressing tumor angiogenesis. Paclitaxel disrupts microtubule function and inhibits cell division, while carboplatin induces DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. This combination is used primarily for the treatment of epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancers, particularly in the frontline setting following surgical resection. The regimen is being investigated in clinical trials for efficacy and safety compared to standard of care combinations[5][8].
