Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dengzhanhua Drop Pills (also known as Dengzhanhuasu Drop Pills) is an approved traditional Chinese medicine formulation containing scutellarin, a flavonoid glycoside extracted from the plant *Erigeron breviscapus* (Vant.) Hand.-Mazz. Developed and manufactured by companies such as Nanchang Hongyi Pharmaceutical, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disorders, including ischemic stroke, cerebral infarction, and coronary heart disease. The drug's therapeutic effects are attributed to its ability to improve microcirculation, induce vasodilation, and inhibit platelet aggregation. Additionally, scutellarin demonstrates neuroprotective properties by mitigating oxidative stress and inflammatory responses in the brain, partly through the modulation of nitric oxide synthase and the inhibition of the NLRP3 inflammasome.
