Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Secukinumab + miconazole nitrate is a non-standard, non-FDA-approved, combination of two drugs: secukinumab, a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin-17A with immunomodulatory effects, and miconazole nitrate, an azole-class antifungal that impairs fungal cell membrane formation by inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis. This combination is not a formulated fixed-dose product but may be used sequentially or concomitantly in clinical practice for treatment of secukinumab-induced or associated candidiasis, particularly oral candidiasis, in patients undergoing immunomodulatory therapy for psoriasis or related indications. No commercial product or code name exists for this specific combination.
