Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of sertraline, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), and olanzapine, an atypical antipsychotic. This combination has shown efficacy in treating negative and depressive symptoms in schizophrenia, particularly in treatment-resistant cases and first-episode patients. It has also demonstrated effectiveness in psychotic depression with lower relapse rates compared to monotherapy. The typical dosing includes low-dose olanzapine (7.5-10 mg/day) with sertraline (50-100 mg/day).
