sevacizumab + topotecan

**sevacizumab + topotecan** is an investigational combination therapy consisting of sevacizumab (a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor [VEGF] A) and topotecan (a small-molecule topoisomerase I inhibitor chemotherapeutic). Sevacizumab (also known as suvemcitug) acts by inhibiting VEGF-mediated angiogenesis, thereby reducing tumor blood supply and growth. Topotecan inhibits DNA topoisomerase I, leading to cytotoxic DNA damage during replication in cancer cells. This combination is under clinical evaluation for platinum-resistant ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancers, demonstrating improved progression-free survival and overall response rates in phase 3 trials.
