SG001 + nab-paclitaxel is a combination drug regimen being studied in clinical trials, notably for advanced triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). SG001 is an investigational agent (specific structure and mechanism not fully disclosed in public sources as of this date), administered intravenously. Nab-paclitaxel, also known as nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel and marketed as Abraxane, is a solvent-free formulation of paclitaxel bound to albumin nanoparticles, enhancing delivery and reducing toxicity compared to conventional paclitaxel. Nab-paclitaxel stabilizes microtubules, inhibiting cell division and inducing apoptosis in tumor cells, and has additional immunomodulatory effects, including promoting T-cell infiltration and reversing immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment. The combination is in development for patients with unresectable, locally advanced, or metastatic TNBC[1][5].
