Shenmai Injection + DCBI is a combination therapy used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Shenmai Injection is extracted from Panax ginseng and Ophiopogon japonicus, while DCBI is deproteinized calf blood injection. This combination therapy has been studied for treating mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease and is administered intravenously. In clinical studies, patients with Yin-Qi deficiency were given 60 mL of Shenmai injection and 1.2 g of DCBI once daily, with each treatment course lasting 21 days. The combination has shown significant improvements in cognitive function measures including Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), clinical dementia rating, and activities of daily living scale scores compared to conventional treatments.
