Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Shenzhuo Formula is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal compound developed by the Guang'anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences for the treatment of diabetic kidney disease (DKD). The formula is designed to delay the progression of renal function decline and reduce proteinuria by addressing the TCM patterns of kidney deficiency and turbid toxin accumulation. It is currently being evaluated in randomized controlled clinical trials as an adjunctive therapy to standard-of-care treatments, including Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System (RAAS) blockers and Sodium-Glucose Cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors. The formula typically consists of multiple herbal ingredients intended to tonify the kidney and transform turbidity to preserve renal integrity.
