Short ragweed + tall ragweed is an investigational allergen immunotherapy (AIT) product being developed by Woodmont Pharmaceuticals. It consists of a standardized mixture of allergen extracts derived from the pollen of short ragweed (*Ambrosia artemisiifolia*) and tall ragweed (*Ambrosia trifida*). Unlike traditional subcutaneous or sublingual immunotherapies, this product is specifically designed for administration via intralymphatic node injection (ILIT). This delivery method aims to enhance the efficiency of desensitization by targeting the lymphatic system directly, which can potentially induce immunological tolerance with fewer doses and lower allergen concentrations. The therapy is primarily intended for patients suffering from ragweed-induced allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis, aiming to reduce clinical symptoms and the need for symptomatic medication by shifting the immune response from a Th2-mediated allergic profile to a more tolerant Th1 and regulatory T-cell (Treg) dominated response.
