This combination regimen consists of **SHR-1210 (camrelizumab)**, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (**PD-1**), plus the chemotherapy agents **pemetrexed**, a multi-targeted antifolate, and **carboplatin**, a platinum-based DNA crosslinker. SHR-1210 works by inhibiting PD-1, thereby enhancing T-cell mediated antitumor immune responses. Pemetrexed inhibits key folate-dependent enzymes involved in nucleotide synthesis, leading to inhibition of DNA and RNA synthesis and subsequent tumor cell death. Carboplatin forms DNA crosslinks, inhibiting DNA replication and transcription, resulting in cell death. The combination is being assessed primarily in **non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)** and other advanced solid tumors for synergistic effects between immune checkpoint blockade and cytotoxic chemotherapy.
