Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SHR-8068 + SHR-4610 is an investigational combination therapy being developed by Suzhou Suncadia Biopharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals, primarily for the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The regimen consists of SHR-8068, a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting the immune checkpoint receptor Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte-Associated Antigen 4 (CTLA-4), and SHR-4610, which is the internal code name for axitinib, a potent and selective small-molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) of vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1, VEGFR-2, and VEGFR-3). By combining a checkpoint inhibitor that enhances T-cell activation with a VEGFR inhibitor that reduces tumor angiogenesis and modulates the tumor microenvironment, the therapy aims to achieve synergistic anti-tumor effects. This combination is currently being evaluated in Phase Ib/II clinical trials for patients with advanced or metastatic RCC.
