Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Si Lian Kang + esomeprazole + amoxicillin + furazolidone + bismuth potassium citrate is a combination therapeutic regimen used for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection. It consists of Si Lian Kang, a probiotic tetrad containing live Bifidobacterium infantis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Enterococcus faecalis, and Bacillus cereus, administered alongside a standard bismuth-containing quadruple therapy. The quadruple therapy component includes the proton pump inhibitor esomeprazole magnesium, the antibiotics amoxicillin and furazolidone, and the mucosal protective agent bismuth potassium citrate. This combination is designed to improve H. pylori eradication rates and minimize antibiotic-associated side effects, such as gastrointestinal dysbiosis and diarrhea, by replenishing beneficial gut bacteria during the intensive treatment course.
