Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The combination of sildenafil and vardenafil is not a standard approved therapy. Both are phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors used individually to treat erectile dysfunction. Sildenafil (Viagra) and vardenafil (Levitra) work by enhancing the effects of nitric oxide, which relaxes muscles in the penis and increases blood flow. Taking these medications together is not recommended as it may lead to dangerous drops in blood pressure and other adverse effects.
