Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SIM0660 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by Simcere Pharmaceutical (specifically through its subsidiary Shandong Simcere Medgenn) for the treatment of oncology indications. The drug specifically targets the Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 2b (FGFR2b), a splice variant of FGFR2 that is frequently overexpressed in various epithelial-derived tumors, such as gastric and gastroesophageal junction cancers. As an ADC, SIM0660 is designed to bind to FGFR2b on the surface of cancer cells, undergo internalization, and release a potent cytotoxic payload to induce targeted cell death while sparing healthy tissue.
