Combination of simeprevir (an HCV NS3/4A protease inhibitor) and sofosbuvir (a nucleotide analog NS5B polymerase inhibitor) used as an all-oral regimen for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1 infection. This interferon-free combination therapy was one of the first all-oral regimens used in clinical practice to treat HCV infection, demonstrating high sustained virologic response rates.
