The combination aims to synergize immune activation and checkpoint inhibition. Clinical studies have evaluated safety, pharmacokinetics, and antitumor activity of the combination in various solid tumors, including head and neck, esophageal, and cervical squamous cell carcinomas. Development of simlukafusp alfa was discontinued for portfolio prioritization, not efficacy or safety concerns[1][2][3][5].
