Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Sini Tang + Shengxian Quyu Tang is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) combination therapy primarily investigated for the treatment of chronic heart failure (CHF) and related cardiovascular conditions. Sini Tang is a classic formula consisting of *Aconitum carmichaelii* (Fuzi), *Zingiber officinale* (Ganjiang), and *Glycyrrhiza uralensis* (Zhigancao), traditionally used to restore yang and rescue from collapse. Shengxian Quyu Tang is a modified formula based on Shengxian Tang (designed to lift "sunken qi") with added herbs to resolve blood stasis (Quyu), typically containing *Astragalus membranaceus*, *Anemarrhena asphodeloides*, and blood-activating agents like *Salvia miltiorrhiza*. Together, the combination aims to address the TCM syndrome of "Yang deficiency, Qi sinking, and blood stasis," which clinically manifests as reduced ejection fraction, pulmonary congestion, and systemic edema. Research suggests the combination improves cardiac function, reduces pro-inflammatory cytokine levels, and modulates neurohumoral factors in patients with heart failure.
