Sintilimab + carboplatin + nab-paclitaxel is a combination regimen used primarily in the treatment of advanced or locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), including both squamous and non-squamous subtypes, as well as being investigated for use in gastric and gastroesophageal junction cancers. Sintilimab is a fully human IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), blocking its interaction with PD-L1/PD-L2 to enhance T-cell mediated anti-tumor immunity. Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that induces DNA crosslinking, leading to apoptosis of rapidly dividing cells. Nab-paclitaxel (nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel) is a microtubule inhibitor that disrupts mitosis by stabilizing microtubules, preventing their depolymerization. The combination leverages immunotherapy with cytotoxic chemotherapy for synergistic anti-tumor effects[1][2][3][4][5].
