siRNA (Fzd7 knockdown) is a research-grade experimental intervention used in preclinical studies to silence the Frizzled-7 (FZD7) gene via RNA interference (RNAi). FZD7 is a class F G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) and a key Wnt receptor involved in canonical and non-canonical Wnt signaling pathways. It is notably overexpressed in several human malignancies, including melanoma, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), gastric cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), colorectal cancer, and ovarian cancer. In various academic studies, siRNA-mediated knockdown of FZD7 has been shown to suppress tumor growth, reduce cancer cell stemness, inhibit cell migration and invasion, and sensitize cancer cells to chemotherapy. The active ingredient is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) molecule targeting the FZD7 mRNA transcript. It exists solely as a laboratory research tool across multiple independent research groups worldwide.
